I saw a new show on Netflix and then heard about how good it was online. I then decided to give it a try. That is the story of how I become a fan of almost every show.
The lead actor in this show is also a reason that I decided to watch. Richard Madden may look familiar to some of you and that is because he was in Game of Thrones which I love. If you miss his character in Game of Thrones, don’t worry you can see him act in this new action thriller.
Now, let’s get straight to the show. I do not want to give too much away in case you want to check out the show yourself. Basically, Richard Madden’s character David Budd works for the police force. He is then hired to be the body guard for the Home Secretary who is Julia Montague. Later, he learns that this job may be more difficult than he expected. Throughout the show, he is trying to figure out what is actually going on. Digging deeper to get to the truth, gets him in some trouble and also threatens the safety of his family. David Budd does all that he can to make sure that the truth finally comes to the surface.
What I liked about this show is that it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. When you think you know what is going on, then it switches up on you. I didn’t think I would be so invested in this show but I couldn’t stop watching. The episodes are a bit longer than the ones you would see on TV. Other than that the show kept my attention and did make me mad at some points but all I have to say it that there better be 2nd season.
This was definitely an action packed show and if that is a genre that you are into than you should check it out. All the episodes for season one are currently on Netflix.
