I loved the first season of Well Intended Love so much. When I found out that there was a 2nd season, I was so happy.
Season 2 has the same characters but a different story line. This season it is like an alternate reality. If you saw the first one, this is a similar storyline to that one. Both of the main characters meet and have to pretend they are in a relationship. Eventually they fall in love, but there is villain that is threatening their love.
The foundation of the stories are the same but details for one are different. You can definitely see the 2nd season without watching the 1st season since they are 2 different stories. There are some scenes in the 2nd season where they reference the 1st but that doesn’t happen too often.
I do think I liked the 2nd season a bit more than the 1st season. There are a few scenes in the first season that I liked better than the 2nd one. Overall, season 2 was better to me. I think I liked it more because you get to see the supporting cast relationships develop a bit more. That part I really enjoyed in the show. Chu Yan, Ruan Meg, Wen Li, Jia Fei relationships I liked seeing develop a little more this time.
Will there be a season 3? I have no idea. I am interested to see if they will have the same characters but alternate universe. If so, I will definitely be watching. This show I watched season 1 on Netflix and season 2 is on Viki.
As I am writing this, Season 2 is now on Netflix! This is not a drill. Excuse me while I rewatch it.

Dumb is the first thing that comes to mind with this 2nd season. Either a production was lazy or they shot so much initial footage that they felt they could pull off the ad nauseum of a alternative universe.
