Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, I thought I would talk about some of my favorite couples in Korean dramas I have seen.
Below is a list of some couples in Korean dramas. I will also put the link to the posts I wrote about each one if you are interested in reading those.
Crash Landing On You – How could I not do this show. I will be putting 2 couples from this show that I enjoyed watching. Crash Landing On You: A Romance Show You Must See
Ri Jung Hyuk & Yoon Se-Ri – This is the main couple in this series and I absolutely loved watching their love story unfold. They didn’t start out liking each other but as time went on they fell in love and realized they were destined to be together.
Gu Seung -joon & Seo Dan – This was another couple from the show. Even though they were not the main couple, I still enjoyed their relationship. Their relationship started more as a friendship, since they were both in love with other people who didn’t love them back. Then their friendship grew and they ended up having feelings for each other.
It’s Okay To Not Be Okay – It’s Okay To Not Be Okay: I Had So Many Feelings
Ko Moon Young & Moon Gang Tae – At first I wasn’t sure about them as a couple. Then as the show went on, I fell in love with their story. They knew each other as kids and had little crushes. Now they are older and they found each other again and their feelings for each other. Their love story had more emotional and mental barriers they had to help each other with but that is what made it beautiful.
Her Private Life –Her Private Life: A Fangirl Trying to Protect Her Secret
Ryan Gold & Sung Deok-mi – When they first meet they do not like each other at all. Then they go into a fake relationship to help Sung Deok-mi. Eventually, their feelings grow deeper and their fake relationship becomes real and I loved watching it all unfold.
My Secret Romance – My Secret Romance: One Night Changed Everything
Cha Jin-wook & Lee Yoo-mi – This story starts out with a one night stand. Then 3 years later they end up working at the same company and meet again. I enjoyed seeing them fall in love after meeting for the 2nd time, and learning more about each other.
My Holo Love – My Holo Love: An Unlikely Love Story
Go Nan-do & Han So-yeon – It starts without a girl falling for a hologram. What she doesn’t realize is that the hologram’s creator looks exactly like him. Even though they look the same, their personalities are different. When she realizes she’s been spending time with both the hologram and its creator, she has to figure out which one she actually loves.
Start Up –This one show where I didn’t like the romance between the main characters at all. I preferred the relationship between the supporting actor and actress. Start Up: One Thing I Couldn’t Get Over
Jeong Sa-ha & Lee Chul-san – One of them was more into the other person. One of them was not interested at all. Then as they got to know each other and spent more time together. They both had the same feelings. I thought their little romance was cute and it was one I was rooting for.
Descendents of The Sun – There are two couples in this show that I enjoyed watching. Descendants of The Sun: Love is Worth The Risk
Yoo Shi-Jin & Kang Mo-Yeon – Their relationship was not easy. His job was doing secret and dangerous missions. He wasn’t able to tell her about it at all. It was hard for them to have a relationship until they both ended up on the same military base. That is where they got to know each other and eventually fell in love.
Yoon Myeong-Joo & Seo Dae-young – I feel like they had more hurdles to go through to get to a happy ending. They were both in the military and their jobs were sending them in completely different areas far from each other. It was hard to see everything they had to go through but I loved that they were able to get through it together.
These are some of my favorite couples in Korean dramas. There are still plenty of ones I haven’t seen. I plan on watching more as the year goes on. If you do have any recommendations for Kdramas, please let me know. I would love to check them out.
