In season 8 of X Files, we are introduced to new characters.
We left off, where Mulder had been abducted and they are searching for him. We also get introduced to a new character as well and that is Agent Dogget. He is tasked with a team to find Mulder. Agent Dogget does not believe in aliens and doesn’t think that his abduction was extra terrestrial. He tries to find logic to find Mulder. Dana and Dogget do not get along at all. Their beliefs are different and they disagree about what happened to Mulder.
Dogget eventually becomes a part of the X files and he is partnered with Dana. They work together to solve cases and it seems that things are opposite. Dana is now the believer and Dogget is the skeptic. It is weird to see her in this new role, to actually believe. They do begin to get to know each other better and become friends even though they have different opinions.
We do see Mulder come back towards the end of the season. He does not like Dogget at all and believes he is there to ruin the X Files. Mulder doesn’t trust Dogget and sees him as an enemy. Eventually Mulder ends up trusting Dogget as much as Dana does.
My favorite part of the season was the end. We find out that Mulder is the father of Dana’s baby. I was hoping it was him. Then we finally see them kiss. I have been waiting for that kiss for 8 seasons! Finally on the very last episode we get a kiss from Dana and Mulder and I was happy.
