Season 5 of Suits was a big one and may I say maybe my favorite season so far.
Donna works for Louis at the start of the season, she decides she can’t work for Harvey anymore. Harvey does not believe it and is in denial. Eventually he realizes she is serious and she isn’t coming back. Soon after this Harvey begins to have panic attacks and to see a therapist. We see more of Harveys past with his family during this time. How past events are affecting what he is currently going through today.
Mike and Rachel are engaged and we all knew it was coming. They are also starting to plan their wedding and the more they plan, the more they realize how much harder it will be to keep Mike’s secret. There are things Rachel will have to give up on her wedding day, in order to not draw too much attention to themselves.
Mike decides that he will be leaving the firm so that he can have a better future for the family he wants. As he is about to leave, he ends up getting arrested. His secret is found out. He has to go on trial and see if a jury believes he was in law school. Emotions are high for everyone in the firm.
In the end, Mike decides to plead guilty and goes to jail. Pearson Specter Litt is in some deep trouble. All of their employees left the firm and now they will be fighting for their lives. The firm has always gone through difficult things but this one seems like it will be very difficult to overcome.
I can’t wait to see what will happen in season 6.
