Downton Abbey may be losing one of its most beloved characters. The Dowager Countess played by Maggie Smith may not be returning to Downton Abbey. There have been rumors that she will not be coming back but I am still holding out hope. Maggie Smith didn’t realize how much people would love her character and how much she would be noticed after this show started. She had always been known and people would stop her for autographs but now it is different. Now she can not go anywhere without being noticed or asked for a picture. This is something she is not use to and never really have to deal with. This show is very popular and well known so people would definitely recognize the characters of this popular TV show. I am hoping that she can over look this obstacle because fans really do love her. I hope that theses rumors are not true because I absolutely love this character and I would hate to see her leave. Downton Abbey is one of my favorite shows and I can’t wait till the 6th season. I hope that The Dowager will be with the cast on the next season but I just guess we will have to wait till next season to see.
