Catfish is my current guilty pleasure at the moment. I don’t know why but I love watching this show. I feel that I shouldn’t like it this much but I can’t help it. Anytime a marathon is on I have to watch it. I still haven’t seen every episode and I plan on changing that.
I find this show very intriguing. I like how it started how Nev wanted to help people who are going through what he had went through. I didn’t think that people were still getting catsfished. I thought now with all the technology we have it would be impossible for someone to get catfished because there always ways to communicate. Well, I was wrong.
Every episode it never disappoints. Somehow they get weirder or crazier as the season goes on. It is kind of sad for the people who are getting catfished because they are just looking for love and they get tricked. You would think that they would see all the signs. Some of them do see signs, but they believe they made a real connection with the person and don’t want to think the negative. That is where Nev and Max come in to save the day.
Max will be leaving Catfish and I am so sad. He will be focusing on other career goals that he has. I love the bromance of him and Nev and it will be sad not to see that anymore. The show will continue without Max but it definitely won’t be the same. Until the next season, I will just be watching Catfish marathons on MTV.
