Get Even: Was Not What I Expected It To Be

Get Even is a PG thriller surrounding 4 girls in high School.

Get Even is a show that focuses around 4 girls in high school. They decide to form a group called DGM. D.G.M. stands for “Don’t Get Mad” instead they get even. These four girls are not best friends and do not hang out. The only way t they are connected is through this group. D.G.M is a group where they decide to keep their identities a secret. They want to Get Even with the people in the school who are bullies or that treat others badly. They do this by embarrassing or teaching them a lesson so they will no longer bother anyone again.

In the show, it does seem pretty well thought out. They also make sure they continuously change their burner phones they use to communicate with others. Even the language they use when contacting each other is a bit coded. As they are planning what to do to their next target, it is put to a halt when he ends up dead. At the crime scene, a note is found saying that D.G.M. killed him. These 4 girls have to try to prove their innocence and find the person that actually committed the murder.

Before I started the show, this looked super interesting to me. As I was about to start it, I saw that it was rated PG. That rating threw me a little off guard because from the trailer I assumed it would be at least PG-13. So I knew this would be a bit different than what I thought.

I thought overall it was a pretty good watch. It seemed to be a mixture of Pretty Little liars and House of Anubis. Since it was PG, it wasn’t as dramatic as I thought or wanted it to be. I do have to say it did keep me interested in wanting to know what will happen next. I do think some of the acting could have been better. Also, I wish they were more into the origin of D.G.M. I feel like they told us the most basic info they had to and then went on. I would have liked to know a bit more. The very last episode was the most interesting. I wished they kept that amount of suspense throughout the whole season.

I am not sure if this will have a 2nd season, but I might check it out since I know what to expect. Because of the PG rating, I would recommend this to younger teens. This is classified as thriller, but I didn’t find it that scary at all and I am one of the biggest scaredy cats. I would recommend if you are not looking for something that is very dramatic or that is very suspenseful. Have you watched this show? If so, what did you think about it?

  2. I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to Dime Piece LA celebrity streetwear brand? I seem to be unable to check out on Dimepiecela site. I’ve read in Marie Claire that they were bought out by a UK hedge fund for $50m. I’ve just bought the Dimepiece Sport Heavyblend Crewneck Sweatshirt from Amazon and absolutely love it xox
