My high expectations were not meant when I saw this season of The Sinner.
I was so excited to catch up on this show and watch season 3 of The Sinner. Other people mentioned this season was not good. I thought they didn’t know what they were talking about and of course this season will be great. After watching it, I agreed with almost every comment I saw on this show.
Season 3 followed a man played by Matt Bomer. He seems like an average guy in the suburbs. He ends up in a car accident with an old friend but there’s more to the accident than it seems. I thought the beginning of the season was going good. It was mysterious and kept you wondering what was going to happen. The main detective tries to figure out what is really going on. That is where I started and stopped enjoying the show.
What I didn’t like about this season was the lack of mystery. I was expecting there to be a huge plot twist at the end. Everything was revealed pretty early and the last few episodes were hoping a big twist would come but never did. For the last few episodes, there wasn’t anything new we didn’t know. We were basically waiting fro him to be arrested or to die at the end. I would have appreciated some more plot twist or mystery. Also, the last couple episodes could have been cut down to one in my opinion.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed in this show. I loved the first 2 seasons and expected this one to be at the same level but it wasn’t. The Sinner is expected to get a 4th season and I am hoping that they redeem themselves with the upcoming season. I enjoyed season 1 & 2 so much that I will give season 4 a chance. Did you watch season 3 of The Sinner? If so, what did you think?
