Outer Banks Season 2: More Treasure and More Villains

After watching season 2 of Outer Banks, I need season 3 now.

When we left off on season 2, John B and Sarah were shipped wrecked and headed to Barbados. In Barbados, that is where the gold is as well. No one in Outer Banks knows if they are alive so we see how they are dealing with their disappearance.

In season 2, they are still going after the gold that Denmark had. While John B and Sarah are in Barbados, they make some new friends and they team up to try to get the gold back. While all this was happening, Pope, Kiara, JJ are trying to prove John B’s innocence. Ward and Rafe are still in Outer Banks walking free because people still believe John B killed the Sheriff. The pogues are trying to work together, even though they are separated. I loved that.

One of my favorite scenes was when the pogues all finally came together in Charlotte. You knew they were going to have a scene when they finally saw each other again and I enjoyed how they did it in the show for this season. A major thing in this season was testing relationships. Not only are romantic relationships tested, but friendships and family relationships were tested as well. It was sad to see all the different type of relationships and what some of the characters were going through. There was a lot of pain and sadness.

Outer Banks season 2 was definitely a faster pace than the 1st season in my opinion. There are more treasure hunts in this season and even more villains as well. I liked how it didn’t only focus on the gold but also introduced a new treasure and new characters on their adventure.

One character that I hated but was interesting to watch was Rafe. We know Rafe is a villain. He definitely had more of a part in this season than in the previous one. I think a lot of characters think Rafe is crazy and needs help. Which, I do agree with. He does need help. At first, you might think he is so chaotic and has no plan. Maybe he doesn’t always have a plan but he is smarter than you realize. As I was watching the season, I grew more interested in what his character would do. I am interested to see Rafe’s character development in season 3.

I loved season 2 even more than season 1 and I suggest if you haven’t seen Outer Banks to check out both seasons on Netflix. Season 2 does end on cliff hanger, just to warn you. So, you will want season 3 to come asap. If you have seen the 2nd season, let me know what you thought.
