Here are my feelings on season 4 of X Files and there will continue to be spoilers.
In season 4, they are still trying to find the truth but get shut down at every turn. I do like Dana better this season. She doesn’t seem to be as apprehensive and as much of a skeptic as in the previous seasons.
One of the saddest things for this season was that Dana has cancer. She got it from being abducted. They really go more into the effects of what happened to her after being abducted and the cancer as a result of that. She is getting treatment and all the other women that were abducted had the same illness she did. She is battling this and still dealing with trying to find out the truth. It is tough for Mulder to see her go through all of this.
One big shock at the end of the season is that Mulder is dead. We see Scully give a statement about it and going through the events that lead up to it. We still do not know what has happened to Mulder. So far, it seems that Scully believes that Mulder’s crazy beliefs got him into this situation. At least that is what she is saying while she is giving her statement to the FBI.
Recently this show has been ending every season with cliff hangers. Which is annoying, but keeps me wanting more. I need to see what happens to Mulder. There is one more question I have. Does Dana believe what she is saying or is she just saying what the FBI wants to hear?
