Kim’s Convenience Season 5: The Final Season

I finished Kim’s Convenience.

I liked the Kim’s Convenience ending a lot. There were definitely some sad endings but you knew everyone would be okay. Here is what happened to the family.

Jung went to business school in this season and then came back and had some ideas to make the store better. HIs parents then asked if he wanted to take over the store. He thought it was a nice offer from his parents but declined. He wanted to make his own way like his parents did and I think it was really nice how they understood him. They didn’t make him feel bad for not wanting to take over the store.

Janet wants to start going on her own in photography. Her and Jared will be doing a business together. I think it will be cool, them working together. Janet has always gravitated towards photography and I think it will be nice for her to do what she loves.

Something sad that happened is that Jung and Janet are breaking up. After the topic of engagement came up, it put a strain on the relationship. They are both sad about it but at the end we see that they will always stay friends.

Mr. & Mrs. Kim will not always be at the convenience store. They are currently still working there but we see the show talk about the future and how one day they will retire and someone else will buy the store. At the end of the season we see them all together around the dinner table being thankful for each other in their lives.

I think how Kim’s Convenience ended was good for this show. It didn’t show everything ending but it did talk about the plans everyone has for their future. I would give this show a 3.5 out of 5 stars. It was a good comedy but also hit your emotions a bit.

If you would like to watch the show you can currently catch all 5 seasons on Netflix. I hoped you enjoyed this journey of bingeing Kim’s convenience.
