Blogmas Day 15!
Somebody is about a woman who creates an app to help people find love. It turns out someone is using her app to kill people. She ends up up developing feelings for this person who is using her app as a weapon.
I was very intrigued to give this show a watch. How does someone fall for a serial killer? This is a darker romance and there are some dark things that happen in this episode.
Our main character Kim Sum is very intelligent and the creator of this app. It seems though she doesn’t really have friends or a relationship. This is something that she is interested in but she finds it hard to get have relationships with people, since she is different from other people and processes emotions differently.
When she begins to use her own app, she finds someone who she relates to. She has never felt this type of connection with anyone else. When that person is also a killer, that does complicate things. In this show, we see how this relationship starts, and what happens when they learn more about each other.
I did enjoy the show. There were definitely things I didn’t love, and I expected that given the context of the show. I do feel that overall it was missing something that could have made this amazing. The concept and ground work for this show was good. I do think that there was a missing piece that could have made it great.
I almost wish there were more episodes, going more in depth with the killer and the relationship between the two main characters. The ending wasn’t my favorite either. It was just incomplete or left me a little unfulfilled. I would give this 3 stars. It was a good show just not the best.
