Bridgerton Season 3: Not What I Was Expecting

Season 3 of Bridgerton focuses on the Colin and Penelope love story. This is a friends to lovers relationship.

Penelope is determined to find a husband this season. Colin volunteers to help her out with this. The more time that Colin spends with Penelope, the more he begins to see her in a different light. This show was broken into 2 parts and here is what I thought of each part.

Part 1 – I did not really enjoy part 1. I didn’t feel the chemistry between our main couple. During the show, I found myself not looking forward to their scenes because the chemistry was lacking. I have seen interviews with the actors that played these characters and they have tons of chemistry. It just didn’t translate on screen to me. I rewatched it and enjoyed it a little better the 2nd time.

Part 2 – My expectations for part 2 were very low and I think that is why I enjoyed it more. I was also living for the drama and the Featherington family. Cressida’s additional storyline was actually one of my favorites this season because I loved the drama. I think she is a great villain. She decided to try to take her future into her own hands and I was loving it. I loved the scenes of the feathering sisters and their mother. I want to see more of them. They were some of the best parts in season 3.

After watching season 3, I would give it 3 stars. I think as a season it is good and average. I don’t think it was quite as good as some previous things in the Bridgerton universe. Overall after I finished this season, I felt a little bit of disappointment. I was really excited for this season and after watching it, I am nervous about what the future seasons will look like.

Bridgerton season 1 -3 is currently on Netflix. If you did watch season 3, what did you think?
