Hey Guys!
February is not only for valentine’s day but it is also Black History Month! So this 2nd half of the month, I will be talking about actors and shows that are making TV history. First up, Sterling K. Brown.
He is one of my favorite new actors I have discovered. I first saw him play in The People vs. O.J. Simpson. I thought he was so talented and did such a good job in that series. That is not all he has done though. He is most well known for playing Randall on This Is Us. He has received many awards and recognition for his great talent on this show. I absolutely love This Is Us. It has become one of my favorite new shows, and yes I do cry almost every week watching it. Sterling K. Brown is not just a great actor but he is making history.
Sterling K. Brown was the first black man to win a Golden Globe for best actor in a drama series. I was so happy for him when he won this. It is amazing that Black Americans are still making history in this industry. I think this was well deserved and it was about time. This is not the only award he has won. He has also won an Emmy for outstanding lead actor for This Is Us. A couple of years ago I didn’t know who this man was, now he is someone I will never forget.
I love his personality too and how just happy he is to be apart of the cast of This Is Us. I like how he thanks the creators and writers for making a role for him that only a black man could play. He truly does appreciate where he is and how successful he is becoming. I can honestly tell you we are only seeing the very beginning of this actor.
