Let’s continue with the Black History Month posts!
As you can tell from the title, we are talking about the show Grownish. This is another show that I love. Grownish is making history and it is only in its first season. Grownish on Freeform is a spin off of the show Blackish on ABC. The show follows Zoey Johnson going through college played by Yara Shahidi.
Grownish premiere was the best comedy series launch in 5 1/2 years. That is amazing for a new show to do so well. That in itself is history in the making. So many people are watching this show and this makes the platform that they have even bigger.
Since it is Black History Month, I wanted to talk about some shows featuring Black leads. This is definitely a show to talk about this month. This show is different and I think that is why so many people watch it. The premiere has set the stage for this show and I am excited to see how this show will go.
The show already has a 2nd season coming after the first few episodes. It is going to be great and I think that you all should check it out. Let me know what you think of the show. And don’t forget The Show Must Go On.
