Every once in a while there is a new show that I enjoy so much but never gets renewed. That is one of the saddest things. When you get attached to a show and then its like, sorry we won’t be coming back for a 2nd season. I may be a bit biased with these shows because they are ones I really got into and I think #1 reason for them ending was because they didn’t have enough people watching. It is sad even good shows could fall short and not get a 2nd season.
1.Reckless – This is a show about 2 different lawyers that come from different places and you can’t help but notice their mutual attraction. They go against each other in court and they may look like they don’t get along but as time goes by this seems to change. All while this is happening their is a huge scandal going on within the police department that could tear the town a part.
2.Rise – This show is about a high school drama department that gets a makeover and it ripples affect into the whole town. Changing things up doesn’t always mix well the rest of the community. When I found out that they wouldn’t get a season 2, I was upset. I was one of those people on twitter that was retweeting as much as I could to get this show a 2nd season. Unfortunately, my efforts were unsuccessful.
3.Red Band Society – This show looked like that would last the test of time but somehow it didn’t do as well as people thought it would. I was most excited because Octavia Spencer was in it. The show is about all these kids who basically live in the hospital because of the certain sicknesses they have. They all have i think in common and hat is the red hospital band on their wrist. Like the ones before it did not get the 2nd season I thought it deserved.
4.Girlboss – This was based on the book by Sophia Amuroso and the rise of her empire. In this show we see how she started on eBay and grew from there. now she has a great site called Nasty Gal. I loved this show because it showed how she grew and she did it on her own. It was very empowering for me and I so wished it would have gotten a 2nd season. I would have loved to see more of the journey.
5.The Family – This show was about boy who went missing and then ends up coming back into his family’s life. They were all shocked when he came back, but him coming back brings up more questions than answers. This show was one that kept me wanting to know more. There was so much of the story I feel that was untold.
6.Eye Candy – This show was staring Victoria Justice and it is basically about this guy who is obsessed with her. He thinks she perfect and will do anything to make sure no one else could have her. It was like a stalker suspense TV show. I do have to say it kept me interested and that is why I wanted another season. I wanted to know who was behind the screen. Unfortunately, it ended before we figured out who the mystery stalker was.
These shows are all ones that I was really into and then when the season came close to an end I found out a season 2 would not be coming. I was definitely heart broken and hope for some type of way they would be picked up again. Well my wished for these shows didn’t come true but that is fine. At least I had one season with them.
