4 TV Shows with some of the best music

I love music and I have grown up with it most of my life. I am by no means an expert or professional. I just like music and broadening my range genres. I really try to appreciate great music and I love when the music matches the show so well. Also, when a show has theme and they use like a similar genre between episodes, I think that it is genius. Here are 4 TV shows I think have some of the best music.

One Tree Hill – I didn’t watch it until I was in college. After I watched it, I didn’t know how I could live without this show for so long. This is definitely the time when bands were very popular. Gavin Degraw’s “I Don’t Wanna Be” is the theme song so that should say something about the music of the show. It a lot of early 2000s bands which I love and brings me back to my childhood. This high school show and the music with it definitely go so well together.

Scandal – I loved Scandal music because a lot of the music had a Motown feel to it. Well, at least the songs I noticed. I think that gave it a great feel to the show. There was some Stevie Wonder that they were playing and I loved it. It is a more serious show so you wouldn’t think that it would fit, but it worked perfectly. I think the music that they used really enhanced the show.

Teen Wolf – I think Teen Wolf had more of a dark tone when it came to music. The show was supernatural so it had an eerie feeling and I think the music went great with it. One thing I love about MTV is that they put the music and artist on the screen. I love that and when its a song I like I immediately add it to my playlist.

Grey’s Anatomy – This was also a show that began in the early 2000s. Many of their songs when the first started were also many of the classics from this era. They had songs that were super emotional and made you want to belt it in the shower or the car. Songs like “Some Where Only We Know” by Keane. Many of the songs had that same time whey the show first started. I think that the music in the past couple seasons didn’t go as well with the scenes as it did in the first seasons. I do think recently the music has been getting better and I hope it continues.

You don’t realize how much music can change a scene. I just wanted to applaud all the people who were in charge of the music for these shows. I appreciate the time it took to match the perfect song with each scene. I love listening TV and even movie sound tracks. When I am writing, I love to play TV soundtracks in the background. It gives me some new music to add to my playlist. For some of the songs, I can actually picture the scene that was happening when it played.

Spotify actual has a section for TV & Movie soundtracks. They have different shows like 13 Reasons Why, Game of Thrones and Stranger Things. If they don’t have a TV show you want to hear the music for, there are a lot of playlist out there that people make with every song from a show. I definitely suggest to listen to some of these. Let me know what other shows you think have great music. And as always The Show Must Go On.
