If you didn’t know already, I have been into a lot of asian dramas lately. I will link those posts later in this post. This show was more of a romance and drama. It is one of those, opposites attract/ unlikely love stories. Those are some of my favorite ones.
The show is about these two different actors who come from two different backgrounds. They are both not too fond of each other either, but end up getting into a contract marriage to benefit each other. Through this marriage they become closer, but drama from their lives threaten their marriage and careers.
I overall liked the basis of the story. I like tat their dislike turns into friendship and then a relationship. What I didn’t like was that to me, it seemed like a lot of the blame was put on one person. Ye Huan-ying I think gets a lot of the blame because she was cold hearted at the beginning of the season. She does change and then begins to fall in love with Yan Xi-cheng. I think he is inconsiderate of her feelings some times and blames her for things and thinks things are her fault when really. I also think he created many of the messes their marriage faced. Yan Xi-cheng was in love with a married woman and she kept showing up at his door step which caused drama in the tabloids. They both had their faults, but I think Ye Huan-ying had more pressure on her than Ye Huan-ying.
I think that this show was ok. I think it didn’t equally place blame in the relationship which is why I think I did not enjoy it as much. I really liked it in the beginning but as it went on I didn’t end up loving it as much. This is only my opinion. You may watch it and end up loving it more than I am. Have you seen this show yet? If so, what did you think? Please let me know in the comments below. And as always The Show Must Go On.
