Are you team Simon or are you team Max?
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is a show I can’t stop watching. Finally, I sat down the other night and watched the most recent episodes. After watching it, there is a question on my mind. Who is Zoey supposed to be with? Is it Simon or Max.
I have to admit that I am currently team Max. Could it change? Possibly. That depends on how good the writers are at changing my mind. Or do they want to change my mind? Maybe they want me to stay on team Max.
Simon is the crush. He is the guy in the office that she always wanted to talk to, but never knew what to say. Now, they are no longer strangers. They became close, because they were able to talk to each other about the grief involving their dads. I do believe Simon connects with Zoey on a certain level that Max can’t. This relationship she has with Simon is something she needed. She is now able to talk to someone that isn’t her family about what is going on with her father, and he understands what she is going through. Although, I am not sure if there will still have such a strong connection once they both begin to over their grief.
Max is the best friend. In the beginning of the show, Zoey had set him up with someone else. He was in a new relationship and seemed happy. So, I thought maybe they are not meant to be together. Maybe they should only be friends. But then, she sang to him about her true feelings, and I was back on team Max. Usually in similar love triangles, I see myself rooting for the best friend. That may make me a bit biased. If Zoey followed the emotions she has for him, she might realize how much she does love him. I am not sure if Max will be willing to go down that road at the moment. He did pour his heart out and she kinda stomped all over it.
We will see what happens I guess. Who do you think she should end up with and why?
