Locke & Key: A Suspenseful Fantasy

Locke & Key was different than I thought it would be and I was pleasantly surprised.

Locke & Key is about these 3 kids whose father recently died and they moved to the house where he grew up. What they didn’t know was that this house was special. It had keys hidden all over it and each key could do something very special. These special keys are good when they are in the right hands. The Locke kids soon find out there is someone else who wants the keys. If the keys end up falling in the wrong hands, very bad things could happen. The Locke children decide they need  to stick together to protect the keys at all costs. 

I ended up liking this show a lot. It was different than what I thought it would be about. I initially thought from the trailers that this show would be about these kids with keys that took them to different places or alternate universes. I thought it would be a little like A Wrinkle In Time or like Alice in Wonderland but it was not like that. To me, it was more on the suspenseful side and kept me on the edge of my seat. 

If you enjoy fantasy, I think that you should give this show a watch. This is a Netflix original and currently only has 1 season. It has been renewed for a 2nd season and I can not wait to see what happens next. When this comes back, I am interested to see what will happen to the Locke kids. Have you seen the show?
