Triad Princess is a Taiwanese show on Netflix I decided to check out.
The main character is the daughter of a famous triad leader. She falls for a handsome actor, but is engaged to be married to someone else. Once she gets to work for the same company her favorite actor is at, they form a connection. With fame, comes a lot of opinions and no privacy. The public eye ends up tearing them apart and they both go their separate ways. Even through all this, they can not deny their love for each other.
When I read the description for this show, it seemed really interesting. I thought it was a great idea and had great potential. After I watched it, I was kind of disappointed. I feel like the main character was very strong but when it came to her love story I wish that was a bit more developed. The two main characters love story felt empty. It seemed really fast for their relationship and I almost wish it was more of a journey for them to be together. For the love triangle, I wished they would have made it more conflicting. I really wanted to like the main couple but I found myself not rooting for them and not wanting them to be together.
I would give this 2 stars. It wasn’t the best show and I think with the storyline there was a lot of potential that wasn’t reached yet. Maybe they didn’t have enough time to flesh out the story as much. The way the last episode ended has me thinking they might do a 2nd season. It did end on a cliffhanger so maybe they wanted to bring more to the story with a 2nd season. I don’t think I would watch a 2nd season if it came out.
This show has some action, comedy, and romance. It currently has 1 season on Netflix. Triad Princess is in a different language, so if you decide to check it out you will probably be using subtitles. If you saw the show, what did you think?

I agree with you. The shows story was quite promising in the begining but it fell flat along the way…
