So I saw an article suggesting that people who like The Office should check out Community. I had never heard of Community or knew what it was. I wasn’t really interested in watching at all. Then later, I had 2 different people recommend it and said it was really funny. So that is when I decided, let me give this show a try.
If you have never seen Community, this show follows a group of people going to community college. They all end up going there for different reasons but end up creating a study group for a Spanish class they are taking. This community college experience is not a normal one. Greendale is very different and this group goes through interesting events at the college.
This show had to grow on me. I didn’t really like it at first and It took me a little bit to get into it. Once I got to the 2nd season, it definitely changed how I felt about the show. I found it funnier and made me want to watch it more. I do have to say that my favorite character is the Dean of the college. He is one of a kind.
I wouldn’t really compare this to The Office but I think it is a good comedy. Community is currently on Netflix. It has 6 seasons, so it is a good show if you need something to binge. If you have any recommendations for a good comedy please let me know in the comments below.
