Blogmas Day 20
This was a recommendation by my sister. I don’t think I would have watched this otherwise. Alexa & Katie is about Alexa who was diagnosed with cancer. Her best friend is Katie and she has been there through every step of the way. They are about to start high school and Alexa doesn’t want anyone to know she has cancer.
You see how hard it is for Alexa to get back to her “normal” life. She wants to put cancer behind her, but that isn’t going to be easy. She realizes this will always be a part of life but she will not let it control her. I liked how they showed what the family and the people around her are going through as well. There is definitely some serious content in this show but it is a good balance.
This is more of a kid/ family show. I would relate it to a show you would probably see on disney channel. It is cute, funny, and great about friendship. I do have to say that the last episode had me tearing up. When they were saying goodbye to everyone, it was sad seeing something end. This show is on Netflix and there are 4 seasons. It was a quick watch in my opinion. Have you seen Alexa & Katie? What did you think?
