I saw on Normal People on Hulu and it looked pretty interesting.
The only thing I knew beforehand was that it was a type of romance. After watching it, this is not just about a romance. It is more about a relationship between 2 people and the stages that relationship goes through. This story follows Marianne and Connell. We see them first in high school and eventually in college. There is a connection between them that they don’t have with anyone else. Their relationship is not perfect, but when they are together is when they are the happiest.
Normal People was more of a cinematic feel when watching it. This is not your happy romance story. This one is emotional and deals with some hard topics. They both have things that happen in their lives they need to deal with.
One thing I really liked about this is that it felt realistic. It felt like someone was telling a love story that 2 people actually went through. Even though I love a good romance or Hallmark movie, they are a bit unrealistic. One thing that made this different was how I can see this story happening between 2 people.
It was not fast paced but to me it wasn’t too slow either. I do see this could be slower paced show for some people. It always had something that kept me interested and wanted to keep watching. It felt very raw. I do have to say, it was a lot more sexual than I thought it would be. I think it has a great story if you wanted to give it a watch. There is currently 1 season on Hulu.
