The Good Place Season 4: The Final Season

I finally watched the last season of The Good Place.

Season 4 is the last season for the Good Place. There will be spoilers for this season and may mention previous seasons as well.

It was bittersweet to see the show end. I was glad to see it had an overall good ending and closure, but I wish it could go on forever.

Season 3 ended up with coming up with a Good Place where they try to change the system of who gets into the good place and who gets into the bad place. All of humanity is on their shoulders and they need to prove their point. Also, Chidi decides to have his memory erased so that he doesn’t mess up the experiment. People from each of their lives are chosen for this experiment and they have to try to make them better people.

It was sad to see Elenor watch Chidi and that he had no idea who she was. That was one thing throughout the season that was pulling on my heart strings. Elenor & Chidi both made sacrifices for each other. Seeing them so close to each other but not being able to be with each other was heartbreaking.

I enjoyed the direction the show decided to go for the actual Good Place. You would think that when you get to the real Good Place, you would be content and happy forever. I think how they showed that The Good Place is not as great as you might think it is, it made sense. When they came up with a way you can leave once you are content, I was surprised but somehow it was the perfect ending to this series.

I did get sad when I saw all of them leave one by one. They were ready and happy with everything they have got to do. It was sad to see them leave and see who they left behind. I think the comedy did a great job of ending the show and I would watch all over again. What did you think of the final season of The Good Place?
