Deadly Class: It’s Not Your Average High School

Deadly Class takes high school to a whole other level.

Deadly Class is a show that is set in the 1980s and based on a graphic novel. This story takes place at a school where different crime families send their children to learn the deadly arts. The main character Marcus is recruited to come to the school based on his reputation. It turns out the reputation he acquired is not really his.

A group of teens from different crime families get in some trouble, and they have to work together to try to fix the mess they made. I was really excited to take a look at this show and see Lana Candor in a new role. She was the main reason I wanted to check this out. Instead of being the nice girl in a Rom Com, she was a fierce fighter.

The 1st couple episodes were interesting, but after a while I got bored and wasn’t really interested in seeing what was going to happen next. I do think there is an audience for it but unfortunately that wasn’t me. I am really sad I didn’t love it more, because the concept and trailer for this show was so good. There were a lot of things I liked about the show and certain storylines I would have loved to see more of. If there was a 2nd season, I think I would have watched it to give the show another chance and see where the story would go.

Deadly Class was not my favorite. I would rate it a 2.5 stars. This show just wasn’t for me, but I do think there are people out there that would really love this show. I watched this on a free streaming service which was IMDB TV.  This only has one season. If you are interested in crime children learning deadly techniques, then maybe this is a show you would enjoy. If you have watched Deadly Class, what did you think?
