I didn’t know anything about the Murdaughs, but now I do.
If you didn’t know, there are many documentaries about the Murdaugh family. I didn’t really know a whole lot about what was going on but I saw that the trial was currently happening. I decided to watch the documentaries to learn more about this family.
One documentary was from Netflix called Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal. The other one I watched was on HBO Max called Low Country: The Murdaugh Dynasty. Both of these documentaries talk about the same basic details of the family. Each one goes into more details on different things relating to this family.
In the Netflix documentary, it focuses more on the boating accident that happened and Paul Murdaugh was involved in. The HBO Max documentary gave you more detail in the case that was surrounding Stephen Smith. They both take a look at the family and what happened on the night of the murders of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh.
If you are interested in learning more about the Murdaugh family and what led to the trial of Alex Murdaugh, I would give either one of these a watch. There was so much more I learned that I had no idea about. There is also a 20/20 episode about the Murdaughs on Hulu. I have not watched that one though.
