The Umbrella Academy ended the show with its 4th and final season.
In Umbrella Academy season 4, we pick up a few years into the future. At the end of season 3, the gang was in a new world where Hargreeves is in control. They also no longer had their powers. When season 4 starts, we see what path each one of them has taken.
As always the world is going to end and they need to find a way to save it. We did see their general bickering and sibling banter that we get in each season and I absolutely loved that. There were a few things I didn’t love in this final season.
There were a few characters from previous seasons like Ray and Sloane that I really wanted to see in this final season. Unfortunately, we did not get that. I loved both their characters and to me it seemed that they both may make an appearance in this last season. I was a bit disappointed when I didn’t see either of them.
There were some storylines that were not fully fleshed out in my opinion. That could be because the number of episodes was less than there were for previous seasons. I felt like some decisions characters made in this season as well didn’t make a lot of sense for their character. It just felt like many things were skipped over or rushed.
The final scenes of the show were bitter sweet. I understood why it had to happen but I wish we could see them all live happily ever after. The ending scene I enjoyed and I thought it was an appropriate ending for the show.
After watching this show, I would give it 3 stars. It was an average season. It wasn’t terrible but I didn’t love it either. If you have seen the final season of the show, what did you think?
