This was another show that I decided to watch. It had been on my list for a while, like most of the shows I have been watching. The Hookup Plan was a show that I watched that happened to be in a different language.
This is a french show, a girl is lonely and still stuck on her ex boyfriend who cheated on her. Her friend hired a professional escort to date her so that she will get over her ex. The longer she gets to know this guy the more complicated the situation gets. The longer her friends wait to tell her the truth, the more betrayed she will feel.
I believe I first heard of this show through trailers on youtube. I really liked this show. This would definitely be a show I would watch. I love unlikely love stories. It was quirky and funny and I really enjoyed it. Season 1 focuses mostly on her relationship and the 2nd season is more about her relationship with her friends. I think the relationship she has with her friends made me love it so much.
If you enjoy romance, then you will probably enjoy this show as well. It is not only about romance but about friendship as well. I think that is why enjoyed it as much as I did.
There are 2 seasons currently on Netflix and I am interested to see if there will be any more. As I said before, it is in French but there are English subtitles. But don’t let that stop you from watching it. If you have seen the show, what did you think of it?
