If you are looking for an action show, K2 is one you should check out.
K2 is about an ex soldier named Kim Je-ha who was framed for killing his girlfriend. He is out for revenge and to clear his name. The way he can get his revenge is by teaming up with some powerful and dangerous people. In order to get what he wants, he has to work for them as a bodyguard to a political figure’s daughter. He ends up falling for her and realizes he needs to also protect her from her own family.
The love interest who is Go An-na, is the illegitimate daughter of a powerful political figure and someone killed her mother when she was younger. She is then hidden away from the world until she is brought back years later to South Korea by her father’s wife.
I think what is interesting about this show are the relationships. Choi Yoo‑jin, is helping Kim Je-ha get his revenge and also is Go An-na’s fathers wife. Chi Yoo-jin’s feelings for Kim Je-ha was somewhat confusing for me. I wasn’t sure if her affection for him was more of a son love, friend love, or more of a romantic feeling. Whatever it was, I didn’t really like it because it was more of a possessive love to me. She was fond of him and didn’t really want anyone else to have him. I feel like many of the relationships in this show are toxic ones. Whether it be romantic relationship, friendship, or boss coworker relationship. I think in their lives and careers, no relationship is what it seems.
K2 is about action, getting revenge, and climbing to the top. Overall, I think this is a really good action and I am glad I finally got the chance to watch it. There is also some political drama as well and that is a main point in the show. There is a romance in this show which is one reason why I really enjoyed it. I think if had to rate it I would give it a 3.5 stars. I enjoyed watching it and would recommend that you check it out. You can watch this on Netflix if you are interested. If you have seen it, let me know what you thought.
