Binge of the Month: Accidentally in Love

I have been into a lot of foreign films and then some shows came up in my recommendations and I decided to check one of them out.

Accidentally in Love is a Netflix Original Chinese drama. It is about this this girl Chen Qing Qing who runs away from her wedding and to the school where her parents attended. She ends up having an unconventional meeting with Si Tu Feng who is a young pop star. They definitely do not get along the first time that they meet. But different situations throughout the show, keep bringing them together. Theirs is the main story but there also some supporting actors that have some great story lines.

I really did enjoy this show and I think that it is really cute. It can definitely get very over dramatic at times but I think that is what made me enjoy it. It was cute and funny and definitely something light that to watch. I know I needed that. I had just come back from watching Avengers: Endgame and I was an emotional mess. I was like I need something to calm me down and not be super heavy or emotional. This was perfect. It was light, funny, and cute.  There is only 1 season of this show and it has 30 episodes. I am not sure if a 2nd season will be coming or not. If there is I will definitely be watching. I also think that if it ended on the 1st season that would be fine too.

I am definitely trying to broaden my horizons into different genres and foreign TV shows. I thought the subtitles would distract me but I get so into the storytelling that I forget all about them. If you are interested in watching foreign films or TV shows, I say go for it. This show is definitely one I would suggest. The episodes are only 30 mins long and I finished this show in 2 days. It is really easy to get through. Check out season 1 on Netflix.

Are they any other foreign TV shows that I should check out? And remember The Show Must Go On.
