My Holo Love: An Unlikely Love Story

Can a human and a fall in love with a hologram?

My Holo Love is a Korean drama. A woman named Han So-yeon ends up getting some special glasses in her possession. Once you put them on you see a hologram named Holo that is there to help you with whatever you need. It turns out that Holo closely resembles the man that created him. 

Han So-yeon has face blindness from a traumatic event that happened when she was younger. She is not able to see people’s faces and has to use their voices or name tags to distinguish who they are. Holo ends up helping her a lot in her work and personal life.

Go Nan-do, who is the creator of Holo, goes to retrieve the glasses since Holo has not been officially released yet.  When he learns that she has face blindness, he realizes she is the perfect person to use to test Holo. She will not be able to tell how similar they look alike or be able to tell who the creator really is. The more time Han So-yeon spends with Holo the more feelings she develops towards him. Can a person and artificial intelligence fall in love?

There are also other people that want Holo because of how far advanced he is. They are willing to do anything to get it. This puts anyone who has Holo in a dangerous position. If they get their hands on him, there is no telling what they would do. 

I really enjoyed My Holo Love. I also liked the love story in it. It was a weird kind of love triangle but it kept me interested. I’ve never really watched anything with this concept and I think that is why I enjoyed it so much. This is a limited series currently on Netflix. It is science fiction and romance.
