In season 10, it takes place 15 years later. This show got rebooted and had a couple newer seasons when it came back.
As soon as you see the first scene in this season, you know it is a different show. Yes, it has Dana & Mulder but it isn’t the same X Files that I saw previously.The effects are a lot better this season. Since this is the most recent, there is no surprise it is a bit better than how the previous seasons were.
In this season, Dana and Mulder aren’t really on the X Files anymore but someone requests their help and expertise. Eventually, this leads them to work on more and more X files moving forward. Their romantic relationship is not as official as I would like. They are together but not really together. The same as all the previous seasons.
At the end of the season we see a pandemic sweeping the country. Certain people are immune to it but they try to figure out a cure. It turns out the smoking man is still alive and he is behind all of it. He is alive and still up to his mischievous ways. This is the 2nd to last season so we are close to the end. Finally, finishing up the X Files show. I am excited to see what the last season of X Files will be about.
