This is the final season of X files. I finally watched all 11 seasons!
In this final season, what is most important is Scully and Mulder’s son William. In the previous season, Scully saw a vision of an alien virus that will hit the country. She needs to find her son and protect him from The Smoking Man.
Mulder and Scully’s son has powers. We do see some of that in previous seasons. He is currently on the run since everyone is looking for him. Eventually Mulder is able to track him down. When they finally meet, Mulder tells William that he is his father and he is there to help him. William has been on the run and a lot of people are after him but he knows he can trust Mulder.
Someone finds out where they are and they end up getting attacked. William uses his abilities to save himself and Mulder, but that means killing everyone that came after them. After that, William runs away again.
William knows that Mulder isn’t his real father. We find out that The Smoking Man is actually the father. I was disgusted when I found that out. I can honestly say that was something that I didn’t see coming. The Smoking Man impregnated Scully and she didn’t know that he was the father of her baby.
At the end of the season, William is at a dock and Mulder and Scully are also there searching for him. The Smoking Man also ends up there searching for William too. William disguises himself as Mulder and the Smoking man confronts him thinking he is Mulder. He ends up shooting him, and realizes once the real Mulder arrives, what he has done. Also, at the end of the season Dana reveals that she is pregnant with Mulder’s actual child. We also get a sort of ending, that isn’t an ending, because at the very end we see William is in the water and still alive.
I am happy to have finished all the seasons. This show was recommended to me and I gave it a chance. I would definitely recommend this if you are into sci-fi TV shows. I think this show overall was really good. This last season I think was probably one of my least favorites. I did appreciate the plot twist about William not being Mulder’s son. I never saw that coming so that really surprised me. This show has a total of 11 seasons and also 2 movies. It is loved by a lot of people and you can currently find all 11 seasons on Hulu.
