I really wanted to get this post up before Halloween but that didn’t happen, so here we are.
I usually am not the type of person that likes to be scared in any kind of way. So, i didn’t know if I would enjoy this show too much. It definitely had its creepy moments but, I have to say I was impressed.
I was a fan of the original Sabrina with Melissa Joan Hart. I love her and she is the absolute best. I was hesitant to check out this show because of how much I enjoyed Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I like that this Netflix original is different though.
This Sabrina is more darker and more rebellious in my opinion. There are things I loved and things I hated in the show and I will be telling you why. I loved the more darker Sabrina in the show. I think that is what made it appealing to me. The one thing I didn’t love about Sabrina is how stubborn she was. To me, that stubbornness had huge consequences and affected a lot of people. Overall though, this first season was a good one and I want more.
I have suggested this to friends and some liked it and some didn’t. Those who didn’t like it thought that it was too slow. If you like Riverdale, you might like this show because it is from the same creators. Also I think the pace is similar to Stranger Things. So if you like the pace of that, then this show will probably be one you like also.
Last thing, am I the only one that is OK is Sabrina ends up with the Warlock? I liked Harvey but as the show went on he was kind of boring. This may the mysterious warlock who is Nick Scratch more appealing. My mind will probably change as I see the next seasons but for now I am not against Sabrina exploring an interest in Nick.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is on Netflix. I really liked it and hope you do too.
